Our Loved Ones Died at Unsafe Workplaces

Our Loved Ones Died at Unsafe Workplaces” is a six- minute documentary video (in English with Spanish subtitles)   It features the stories of four families ─a wife, a father and two daughters ─ who each lost a loved one from a fatal work-related injury.

The family members share their personal experiences and thoughts about the circumstances leading to the deaths of their loved ones.  They tell of their frustrations with the inadequate systems in place for protecting workers’ lives.  A synopsis of the incident, penalties and outcomes is provided for each featured victim.

As family member victims of workplace fatalities get more involved in the health and safety movement, we know that some of you have wanted a family member to participate in your public events or safety training programs.  For those times when a family member isn’t available to appear in person, we hope you will consider using this video “Our Loved Ones Died at Unsafe Workplaces.”  Funding for the video production was generously provided by the Public Welfare Foundation.
